Meetings

In addition to the events that our members know and enjoy, our committee members meet regularly to continue the elevation of the HVSA. The committee meets the first Monday of every month, and this is the Administrative meeting. New members applications are read to the membership and discussed at this meeting. We also try to conduct other business at this meeting as well. The club also has a meeting on the third monday of every month. Club events are planned and discussed at the meetings. This is a regular meeting, and is the meeting where new members are voted on. The meetings are held at the Radford Road clubhouse, and they start at 8pm. All members and guests are invited to attend.

Meeting minutes for the meeting held on June 21st, and July 5th, 2010

Sickness and distressed members- none at this time.

Presidents Report- A good turn out at the Hog Roast, over sixty present.

Secretary's Report- 371 paid members, and 10 members present.

Treasurer's Report- Two complete financial reports given.

Committee Reports- Bow Committee- The last bow shoot went well. Bow shoots are set up for the following dates; July 17th, August 7th, and 21st, and September 18th. Trap and Sporting clay committee- Trap shoots are slow. Members trap shoots are every Wednesday night, public trap shoots every thursday night. Sporting clay shoots - none scheduled. Maintenance Committee- Enlow mower reverse gear is out of the tractor, and steering wheel fell off. Dinner Committee- OASTA shoot food is ordered.

New members Voted on- Roy Holliday, Andrew Bobo, and Joel Yott, all me passed and will be receiving their welcome packs in the mail soon. Read Eric Pinrod, but still needs $21 for his application.

Old Business discussed- Roof coating has been applied on the rifle range shed. We still have not gotten the "Adopt a Road" signs from the county!! A formal letter has been drafted and sent certified mail to renter of trailer at the Enlow clubhouse. The renter will sign over trailer for back rent. Web site discussed and will continue to pay for maintenance. Phones at both clubhoused discussed, may discontinue. 150 yard rifle range target top rail needs to be replaced asap.

New Business discussed- The Adopt a Road in Athens County recognition signs have still not been put up by the county. Ted will contact Mike Canterbury to find out what the hold up is. The 150 yard rifle range backstop needs attention asap. OASTA food is ordered. Post ranges closed on OASTA dates. Camping charges discussed. QDMA Banquet will be on 8-6-10 at the Shade Community Center. Underwrite prizes?? Give $50 motion made and passed? Remember calender of events. The gas grill at Enlow Road needs replaced.

The next scheduled meeting is on July 19th, starting at 7 pm. Please all members try to attend. Meeting adjourned at 8:29 pm.
