ObjectivesARTICLE IV, SECTION 1 - The protection and preservation of wildlife, and the land from which it comes, and to do things necessary and incidental thereto. ARTICLE IV, SECTION 2 - The promotion of restoration and conservation of natural resources and education in conservation in all phases, with particular reference to forest, water, soil, and wildlife; to promote good fellowship and good citizenship (and good sportsmanship); to inculcate regard for the rights of others and respect for and obedience to law; to support a sane and effective conservation program for and by the State and to cooperate with the Department of Natural Resources of Ohio, and all other like-minded citizens and groups. As you can read for yourself; we are not a bass club, bow club, or a trap shooting club, although we have facilities for, and our members enjoy all of these and many more activities. We are not specialized in one particular disipline or sport. We have ponds to fish in, rifle, pistol, trap and bow ranges to shoot, woods to hunt (or just walk in ), tables to play cards on as well as buildings to have parties in. The most important asset of the HVSA is its members themselves. A club such as the HVSA cannot exist without them, nor can it grow and prosper without a sense of cooperation and respect for other members, in all its diverse activities. As written and adopted in 1956. |
